So it’s a beautiful day in the last frontier and I’m at work with on of Mr. Cessna’s better designs.  The issue today is a radar altimeter that wigs out every now and then and really hot radios.   I can fix the radar altimeter easily enough.  Pull the antenna, replace  the beat up gasket, scrub off the corrosion from the mating surfaces and there ya have it.  The hot radios are another can o’ worms.   This particular is powered by the ubiquitous Pratt & Whitney PT6 turboprop.  Basically a jet with a big fan on the front.  Jets are hot by nature and some of that heat’s leaking through the cabin heat system.  I gotta find the door that’s not closing all the way.  That’s tomorrow’s task.

Tonight was work in the yard.  Got the lawn cut last night and put a few new shrubs into the back plot this evening.  Replaced a spruce tree that wasn’t doing well with one from the west forty that is.  set up the sprinkler to water the flowers and the new plants and cracked a cool Alaskan Summer Ale.  There’s something soothing in the rhythmic tick-tick-tick-tshtshtshtshtshtsht of my sprinkler.

So I pulled up a lawn chair, sat back with Doggus Maximus at my feet, and enjoyed a gorgeous end to the day.
