It’s baaaaaaaaaaaaaack……

There I was…minding my own business, enjoying a sunny late fall/early winter day on the Upper Chena River, just taking in the sights and sounds of the Frozen Freakin’ North slowing down as the year comes towards its inevitable close.  The sunset was as spectacular as it generally is up here, the stars were out as were the Northern Lights.  There was even a couple of meteors thrown in for good measure.  All in all, a great start to a relaxing weekend.  Then I woke up this morning.

High gray clouds, a north-easterly breeze, and that distinct feeling you get in the air when you just know it’s gonna snow.  And it did.  Nothing significant, but I’m betting I’ve just about seen the last of my grass for the next 9 months. Just enough to make things slick and remind you that the brakes aren’t your friends anymore.

I’ll have to get up an extra half hour early tomorrow to beat the idiots on the roads.  Should be a fun trip in to work….
